Steve Cochran
WGN-AM - RADIO PERSONALITY

Steve Cochran has been a top radio personality for over 10 years.

In Minneapolis while at KDWB FM he was nominated for Billboard's Major Market Air Personality of the Year award twice and also named Best Radio Show in the cities for 3 straight years.

At AM1000 in Chicago Steve did an exclusive interview with O. J. Simpson that became a national news story. This was the FIRST LIVE interview O.J. did after the murders. And was very close with many Chicago sports stars, such as Robin Ventura and Steve Kerr.

Steve is also in 5 movies! That's right, he is a actor as well. Check him out in "Grumpy Old Men (TV weather man)," "Little Big League," and "Drop Dead Fred", in the pivotal role of "waiter #2."

Steve is also a stand up comedian and has worked comedy clubs and theaters all over the country opening for such greats as Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Garry Shandling and most recently Louie Andersen and Bill Enval.

Steve served as guest host on CNN's "TALKBACK LIVE for a three day stint."

After a great run as morning man at the now defunct AM1000 (also a Chancellor media station) in Chicago, he WAS the morning blood at Q95.5 in Detroit. But has recently left and returned to Chicago to temporary fill in on WGN 720 AM on Sundays from 1 to 4 pm.

Steve inherited the weekday afternoon spot after Spike O'Dell moved to morning drive.  This realignment of Chicago's #1 radio station was due to the tragic airplane death of the popular morning host, Bob Collins.

He has been married for over 15 years and is the self titled "world's greatest dad" to his daughter, Amy, and son, Ross. Steve writes a funny column about parenting called "Dad's Eye View" for Children magazine in Los Angeles.
