Spike Manton
RADIO PERSONALITY

Spike Manton has traveled an unusual road to morning radio. After graduating from Bradley University with a Business Economics degree, Spike moved to Chicago in 1986 and took a sales job with Procter & Gamble. It was driving around Chicago during these soap selling days that Spike became a fan of a Chicago radio legend named Steve Dahl. He sold Tide by day and told jokes by night and after a couple years, Spike went full-time in standup comedy.

Things went well and Spike landed television spots on Fox, A&E's Evening at the Improv and MTV's 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour. He headlined clubs in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and other cities across the country.

Spike has been on Chicago radio for years, including time spent with Harry Teinowitz on WMVP-AM and Steve Dahl on WCKG-FM and as part of the Loop Morning Guys show on WLUP 97.9 FM.

Spike is also one of the leading corporate entertainers in the country, performing for various company events and private functions. He can also still be seen performing on the comedy stages around Chicago from time to time.

Spike and his wife, Tami, live in Chicago with their two children, Mickey and Samantha.
