Paul Peterson
ex-WLIT-FM - RADIO PERSONALITY

Paul started out at KDKB-FM in 1979 where he did it all...On-Air Talent, Promotions, Programming, you name it. Later on, he went to KZZP-FM in Phoenix, AZ where he did overnights and often did crossover talk with their morning guy, (some guy named Johnny B.). Prior to his jump to WLIT-FM, Paul worked mornings at WKIE-FM with Melissa Forman.

Paul has worked with tons of formats, from Rock to Alternative to Top 40. Though it is the rare radio moments that stand out, from tragedies like announcing the death of John Lennon, making an usual slow Monday Night show, (due to football), to very busy and memorable to great interviews with Tony Bennett, Sting, Cheap Trick, Cher, Celine Dion and Melissa Etheridge, who Paul points out had a great sense of humor and was very approachable.

"I know I have an amazing, fun job, and I never take it for granted. I love every minute of it"! Originally from Mesa Arizona, the winter home of our Chicago Cubs, now lives in Chicago with his furry little soul mate, a 15 year old terrier mix named Fred. When he's not on the radio with his partner JoAnn Genette, he can be found cheering on his favorite sports teams. "I also love the Cubs, my mom took me to many a spring training game when I was just a boy. Maybe one of these years, before I die, they'll actually win the World Series....Maybe!"
