Many people have made fun of Mike's old Hot Dog stand named "Bebe's" after his wife...They must be ignorant, as most of the production staff at "NUDE HIPPO" use to go to "Bebe's" back before Mike broke into radio.  We would get the pleasure of debating with Mike as he would do what everyone now either hate or loves him now for.

His talent was too great for such a small forum...though Bebe's recipes were equally enjoyed.  As most things on the menu were Homemade.

So, for Mike's bio, he's been on the Score radio since it premiered 3 stations ago, back in 1989 and he & Bebe livein Parkridge with their dog Licorice.

Now let's skip the bio and feature some of the other talent in the North household...

BEBE'S ITALIAN BEEF

* 20 Bay leaves
* 8t. oregano
* 2 1/4 t. rosemary
* 2 1/4 t. thyme
* 1 3/4 t. marjoram
* 2 1/4 t. pepper
* 3 t. paprika
* 1/2 c. dry parsley
* 4 t. granulated garlic
* 1 3/4 t. celery salt
* 4 t. salt
* 2 3/4 t. red pepper
* 10 cloves garlic c
* 1/2 c. garlic liquid juice
* 6 t. basil
* Put all spices in a cheesecloth pouch. Drop into water
* Cut slits in beef and put in pieces of mined fresh garlic
* 1 cup french onion soup base or beef base, put into water in roaster
* 10 lb piece sirloin tip or your choice of a good roast
* Fill roaster about 1/2 full with water
* Roast in nesco for 15 min per lb. Use a meat thermometer to about 130 unless you like it more well done
* Let it cool before slicing
* It’s actually better to slice it cold. Slice as thin as possible, preferably by a meat slicer.

When you are ready to eat it, heat gravey in a pan. Drop in slices of beef. Heat just until warm, you don’t want the beef to boil. It makes it tough. Serve on crusty french bread with roasted sweet peppers or hot giardinera.

Good!
